Dogs Save Owner After She Has A Stroke

Dogs save owner after she has a stroke. Dogs are not just reliable companions or great sources of joy. They have super senses, which they often use to save their humans from danger. One example of this involved a Florida woman who owed her life to her two Labrador retrievers.

Maureen Hatcher said "thank you" to her two dogs for saving her life after she suffered a stroke.

What happened to Maureen

After collapsing in her home because of the stroke, Maureen’s dogs, Sadie and Bella, heroically rushed across the street to call the attention of a neighbor. The neighbor heeded the call and phoned 911 for Maureen.

All of this was captured on a video doorbell. The video caught every part of the ordeal from Sadie and Bella running out to the arrival of the neighbor and the appearance of the paramedics.

Maureen was just alone in her home, and there were no other people around to help her. She turned to her beloved dogs for help. She remembered Sadie coming, and she said " I need help". After that, the dogs were gone. Within minutes, the dogs returned with a neighbor who found Maureen lying on the floor.

Maureen was immediately taken to Baptist Medical Center’s comprehensive stroke center. She underwent a new procedure that allowed the specialists to extract the blood clot in her neck.

Maureen experienced an ischemic stroke, which was caused by a clot that blocked the blood vessels in the brain.

A miraculous blessing

It was indeed a miracle for Maureen. To make it even more incredible, Maureen explained that her front door would automatically lock. On that fateful day, however, the door was likely ajar, which was why Sadie and Bella were able to seek help.

Maureen said that she had an angel across the street, a great rescue in the neighborhood, and the hospital. She said that she was very blessed.
