Family saves Heavily Matted Dog Found In A Box

Family saves heavily matted dog.

Meghan Lynch, a shelter worker, has dedicated her life to saving and caring for animals. When she went to work one day, she had this feeling that something was not right. Meghan's instincts were confirmed when she saw a box near the shelter.

"I was very hesitant to approach it." she said. It was a suspicious box. Who wouldn't be hesitant?

Something was pushing Meghan to open the box or at least peek inside it. "What I saw inside was heartbreaking" she said. "I saw a filthy ball of hair."

Meghan then realized that it was a heavily matted dog. Meghan even thought that the canine has passed away.

She didn't know how long it has been inside the box. It was also left under the scorching heat of the sun, which was very dangerous for the dog.

I didn't know what to do!

When I lifted the animal out of the box, I saw a note at the bottom of the box that says the dog was found in someone's house. The person was cleaning that home and found the dog. The note said "I didn't know what to do".

The person thought that leaving the animal outside of the shelter was the best thing he could do. He was hoping that the shelter workers could help the dog out.

The poor thing was immediately brought inside, where it was groomed and cleaned up. The doctor says that it was a senior canine, and it has a lot of health issues like cataracts.

The dog may have been sick for a while. To be that heavily matted, the dog would have been neglected or years. Meghan could not imagine the horrible negligence the dog experienced.

Meghan is happy that the dog is out of that dire situation. She is now ready for her forever home.

As the dog waits, Meghan and the shelter workers are more than happy to take care of her. Meghan and the other shelter workers will make sure that she will never be neglected again.

This wonderful family saves heavily matted dog from a life of misery.
