Everybody loves a happy ending. Stories that speak of the incredible bond between a family and its beloved pet has inspired millions across the globe. Because these tales have touched countless hearts, books and movies have featured them continuously for years. But lost Dog found by her owner while browsing online is something special.

For Delon Pearson, having lived through this experience with his family was something he didn’t expect. Last year, their family’s 8-year-old Akita named Missy was snatched right under their noses. The dog was lingering in their front garden when she suddenly went missing.

8 year old Akita dog stolen and then found miles away

Losing a family member is heartbreaking, especially for a young boy. Delon’s 8-year-old son Bradley was devastated when he learned that Missy was gone. For an entire year, their family tried everything to find the missing dog, but they couldn’t find her.

Months went by, but the pain of losing Missy never left them. The thought of replacing Missy with a new dog was painful, but it might help their family move on.

Found By Her Owner While Browsing Online

Delon was casually browsing the internet when he came across Missy’s picture online. He found himself staring at her photo on the website of an animal rescue organization in North Wales. After all these months of searching, he couldn’t believe his luck when he realized he finally found their stolen dog.

Skylor’s Animal Rescue, located in Dobshill, Flintshire, North Wales, found Missy a few months back. The people who stole her left and dumped her in a car wash in Manchester. After they rescued Missy, they looked after the poor pup and took care of her needs.

Delon immediately called the animal rescue group to inquire about Missy. After verifying that they were the dog’s real owners, Skylor’s Animal Rescue informed them that they could claim Missy as soon as possible. Delon and his family were ecstatic, finding Missy still seemed unbelievable to them.

Missy instantly recognized her family the minute she saw them. She made a beeline toward Bradley and remained by his side as if it was the most natural thing in the world. Missy was finally home.
