Police Dog Rescues Missing Mum And Child.

Heroes live among us, and not all of them would be donning capes and spandex tights. Some can be found in the unlikeliest of places and could be just about anyone. It might be someone we know, or it could be that homeless guy sleeping in the gutter.

In this real-life story, our hero was a four-legged police officer named Max. It was the police dog’s first day to report for duty, and what a first day it was! The newly-licensed police dog Max from the Dyfed-Powys was instrumental in rescuing a missing woman and her one-year-old baby.

When the police force received a report about a woman who had gone missing with her child, a search was quickly organized. Max and his handler, PC Peter Lloyd, took the helm and started their open area search. Max’s tracking skills proved to be a tremendous aid in finding the missing woman and child.

Max was primarily trained to track and locate people in enclosed or open-air spaces. According to the report, nobody has seen or heard of the woman in question for two days. Her phone didn’t work, so there was no way to reach her.

When the police retraced her steps, they discovered her empty car by a mountain road. They had a general area to search, but it was still a pretty massive area to cover. That’s where Max came in.

It was an epic first day, but this intelligent pup showed the police force his mad skills by finding the missing mom and baby. With Max guiding and tracking, PC Lloyd was able to find the woman by the edge of a ravine, waving frantically for help. She and her baby were promptly rescued and brought immediately to a health facility.

Talk about an epic first day. Good job, Max!
